The notes of Khamrah
At the top, bergamot adds a sparkling touch, quickly caught up by cinnamon and nutmeg. The opening evokes citrus zest and baking spices: warm and instantly recognisable.
At the heart, oriental gourmandise takes over: sweet dates, a melting praline, creamy tuberose and a floral note of mahonia. The dates bring that syrupy sweetness typical of the Orient, while the praline reinforces the pastry side.
In the base, a very enveloping vanilla and amber accord carries the trail for hours.
Our verdict
Khamrah is a generous perfume: it doesn't aim for discretion. On the skin it unfolds like a still-warm oriental pastry, spicy and sweet, yet never cloying thanks to the bergamot and spices that balance it. Its projection and longevity live up to its reputation: two or three sprays are enough.
What we love: its warm, comforting character, its unisex side that works just as well on a woman as on a man, and its excellent value for money.
Good to know: this is an autumn and winter perfume. In the height of summer its sweetness can feel heavy, so a fresher version is a better pick (see below).

- Khamrah Dukhan: the smoky version. Incense, labdanum, tobacco and amber give it a darker, more mysterious trail, ideal for the evening.
- Khamrah Waha: the family surprise. Fresh and aquatic, with yuzu, ginger, cucumber and sea salt, it's the version to wear when it's hot.
